Founder / CEO

After a thirty-two year career as an independent financial adviser and Certified Financial Planner™, Craig sold his practice and focuses his business interest, experiences, and efforts toward alerting savers of the large tax obligations that are built into their retirement accounts.

This has birthed two Amazon #1 Best Selling books, Paying the Piper, and Roth Conversion Secrets. The tax issues are very real and a very large concern for many savers.

Richard Romero, CFP®

Director of Financial Planning

Richard boasts over three decades of experience in the Financial Services sector. His previous roles include serving as the Manager of Sales Support for Prudential Advisors. Additionally, he contributed three years to Ameriprise Financial Services, where he assumed the responsibilities of COO for one of the nation’s largest practices and spearheaded franchise recruitment and engagement efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region. Richard has also held positions such as Manager of Training & Development for Prudential Advisors, Head of Wealth Management for PenFed Wealth Management, and Senior VP & Wealth Management Sales Manager at HSBC Wealth Management for the Mid-Atlantic region.

Following his college graduation, Richard embarked on a journey as a Nuclear Engineer in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine program. His exceptional service garnered him multiple accolades, including 2 Navy Achievement Medals and an Honorable Discharge. Richard is distinguished by his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations, both earned after obtaining a B.A. degree from Ottawa University in Ottawa, KS. Currently residing in Herndon, Virginia, with his wife, Sheri, and their daughter, Fiona (adopted from Russia), Richard relishes family time, indulges in wine pairings at local vineyards, and frequents live performances in the DC area during his leisure hours.

Derrick DeHays, CFP®

Rothology™ Specialist

Derrick began his career in the financial services industry over 28 years ago. He has extensive experience throughout his career working with clients of private banks and fiduciary wealth management firms. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, he provides thoughtful financial advice and potential solutions though planning and implementation of strategies that put the clients best interest first.

Derrick is a native Floridian and his family has been in SW Florida since 1950. When he is not helping clients, you will likely find him on a boat, as he first acquired his Master Captain’s license at age 23. He is active in the community, supporting local children’s charities and a past board member of the Estate Planning Council of Naples. He and his wife Deborah have been licensed foster care providers and raised three children of their own.

 
Daniel Jandro

With over a decade of experience, Daniel specializes in providing multi-generational financial planning services. With a focus on long-term financial planning, behavioral finance, and financial coaching, Daniel leverages cutting-edge technology to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Outside of planning, Daniel’s passion lies in spending time with his family and exploring nature with his black lab, Ninja. He is also a die hard Minnesota Twins fan even amidst their historic and continuous playoff failures.

Daniel actively volunteers as a Financial Coach and Volunteer Financial Planner with Prepare and Prosper. Through this role, he helps under-resourced individuals and families achieve financial security and independence.

Taylor Rigler, CFP®

Taylor has spent his entire professional career partnering with individuals and families to design and navigate their unique path to financial independence. He has over 12 years of comprehensive financial planning experience as a fiduciary in every role throughout his career and has maintained his Certified Financial Planner™ designation since 2014. From the first dollar saved to the last dollar spent, Taylor has dedicated his efforts towards designing and implementing creative and efficient solutions across all facets of the financial picture. He passionately believes that holistic financial advice and personalized education can provide the confidence necessary for clients to make well-informed financial decisions.

He spent time working with larger institutions such as JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Complex Wealth Planning Advisor and more recently with TIAA as a Wealth Advisor partnering directly with clients employed by higher education institutions, government entities, and non-profit organizations. He also has significant experience working alongside independent firms where he focused on developing retirement income strategies and creative tax optimization plans for clients and their families as they look towards how best to secure a successful retirement transition.

Taylor, his wife, Lauren, and three kids under the age of 7, Hudson, Remi, and Addison, live in Boca Raton. Taylor spends most of his free time selfishly trying his best to live vicariously through his kids out on the baseball and soccer fields. Hardly a dull moment at the Rigler household.

Brian Hickox, CFP®

Over the span of more than two decades, the entirety of his professional journey has been immersed within the dynamic landscape of finance. His career commenced in the realm of institutional trading, evolving over time to encompass the domains of corporate benefit consulting and personal financial planning. His dedication and unwavering commitment to the field prompted him to earn the prestigious Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, a testament to his profound belief in the transformative influence of a well-crafted financial blueprint and the positive impact he can confer upon clients and their extended families. This belief is underpinned by his unwavering commitment to providing a fiduciary level of guidance, devoid of any product sales, thus ensuring that clients receive the utmost in ethical and trustworthy financial counsel.

With a remarkable athletic background as a two-time Ironman, he champions the concept of adhering to a structured, goal-oriented process to achieve meaningful results. He firmly believes that the actions undertaken today serve as the compass that guides one’s trajectory toward success in the future. Beyond his professional pursuits, his passions extend to the realm of college football, where he is an ardent fan, and he derives immense enjoyment from pursuits such as fly fishing and the pursuit of aquatic adventures whenever the opportunity arises.

 

Adam Deutsch, CFP®

Adam embarked on his financial services career over a decade ago, driven by a profound commitment to guiding clients through essential financial planning endeavors. From retirement and education to long and short-term goals, including estate planning, he is dedicated to empowering individuals to secure their financial futures. Leveraging his ingenuity and adept problem-solving skills, Adam specializes in tailoring bespoke plans for clients, always prioritizing tax efficiency.

Residing in Rochester, NY, alongside his wife Whitney, Adam finds fulfillment and challenge in his pursuits outside the office. As an accomplished mountain climber, he has conquered all 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks and now sets his sights on mastering them anew in winter conditions. Beyond the peaks, Adam maintains equilibrium through practices such as karate, yoga, and meditation, ensuring a balanced approach to both his personal and professional life.

Stephen Avery, CFP®, ChFC®, CRPC®

Renowned for his unwavering effort, courage, discipline, and enthusiasm, he began his journey as a “walk-on” student-athlete at Northern Michigan University’s football program, swiftly earning a full scholarship. A four-year letter winner and 1988 Team Captain, he set records and received accolades, including inductions into Northern Michigan’s and Brookfield Central’s Sports Hall of Fame.

After college, he pursued his NFL dream, securing a spot with the Houston Oilers and playing for five NFL teams over eight years. With a distinguished 25-year career in the Financial Services Industry, he continues to seek growth opportunities, impacting countless families and friends with his financial guidance.

Now residing in Sarasota, Florida, with his wife Sandy and their four children, they are actively involved in community, charity, and church activities, embodying a family dedicated to making a difference.

Matt Stockburger, CFP®

Financial Planner

Originally hailing from North Carolina and now proud to call New York City home, he brings nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry, holding the title of Certified Financial Planner™ professional. His professional journey has been diverse, spanning roles in holistic financial planning and business development, both within esteemed institutions like Vanguard and as an Independent Financial Advisor. His true passion lies in empowering individuals and families to not only understand their current financial situation but also recognize the tremendous value of establishing an ongoing plan to navigate life’s inevitable challenges.

On a personal note, he resides in Brooklyn, NY, alongside his long-time girlfriend Samantha and their two rescue dogs, Astro and Luna. Together, they love to explore the vibrant tapestry of experiences that the City has to offer, immersing themselves in its rich culinary scene, embracing the arts, and having a passion for live music. Additionally, he has a knack for culinary arts and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen as an amateur chef. Beyond the urban hustle, they find solace in the company of friends and family, typically amidst the tranquility of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina or the serene shores of Cape Cod.

Joey Taylor, CFP®

Financial Planner

Hailing from Baltimore, MD, Joey spent his formative years there before embarking on his academic journey at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, he successfully conquered the CFP® exam. Now residing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Joey and his family share their abode with three beloved canine companions, all of whom are enthusiastic swimmers.

During his initial five years in the industry, Joey had the privilege of learning from seasoned CFP® professionals at Northwestern Mutual. There, he refined his skills in tailoring financial plans to meet the specific needs of clients, whether they were business owners or families seeking a clear financial roadmap for their future.

Following his tenure at Northwestern Mutual, Joey transitioned to JPMorgan Chase, where he focused on private client banking and investment channels within client portfolios. Joey found great satisfaction in his role at JPMorgan Chase, where he assisted Private Clients in achieving their banking and investment objectives.
